Directions

Below are directions to our workshop They look complicated but they are just precise and detailed. Everyone easily finds us. If you have any trouble getting in, call us @ 415.971.0794.

The Dresher Ensemble Studio

Our address is 2381 Poplar St Oakland, CA BUT you won't find that on the street as our studio is located inside the large warehouse that occupies the whole block between West Grand and 24th St along Poplar St., which is one block EAST of Mandela Parkway.

How to get there?

  1. Put 2201 Poplar St, Oakland into your map program. Park along Poplar St. or on West Grand Ave.

  2. Enter the building at 2201 Poplar St. Oakland, CA 94607

  3. Walking entrance to the studio is accessed at 2201 Poplar St, right at the corner of Poplar & West Grand.  Up a few concrete stairs, there are a set of inset glass doors. For ADA access through the loading dock please call 415.971.0794 for entrance.

  4. To the left of the doors, there is a phone intercom system.  Use the directory on the intercom and scroll through until you find Musical Traditions, choose that and it will ring the phone in the studio and someone will answer and remotely open the door.  You should hear a click and you should be able to enter the door.

  5. Enter the lobby and immediately go to your right (do NOT go straight ahead towards an opening to a long hallway to the right). You may use the world’s slowest elevator or the stairs, or go up the steel stairway to the right of the elevator - to the left of the mailboxes.

  6. At the top of the stairs go past the elevator (on your right) you will open into a large open area that is mostly towards the right.  Go right and cross this open area, veering towards the left at the far side

  7. At the end of this open area, in front of you on the left, you will see a long narrow hallway.  Go down this hallway.  The door to our studio is about 3/4 of the way down the dock.  It should have our name on it and the number “2381”  on the door.

  8. Someone will greet you at the door.
